Throughout his life, self taught, Italian born visual artist - creative entrepreneur Alex Di Silvestro, has experimented and worked across a wide spectrum of visual arts, including cut out paper collages, ink sketched and digital illustration, fashion, photography & interior design.
After being a creative co-director of a London based luxury fashion brand for many years, he took a turn in his career during the 2020 pandemic, when he decided to evolve his individual minimalist fashion & portrait illustrations into a unique style of painted portraiture. The outcome has been a great success, and he's now working as a full-time professional artist, selling his art worldwide.
Alex Di Silvestro Art (signed Alex DS) is available directly from his studio-gallery based in the town of L'Escala, in the Salvador Dali’ native region of the Catalan Costa Brava & also shipped Worldwide. The artist after a visit to the Dali' Museum of Figueres in 2019, was greatly inspired by the eccentric genius of the surrealism master Mr. Salvador Dali', to the point that he decided to paint a portrait tribute (then series) dedicated to him, who has now became his personal muse. In only a few years, Alex Di Silvestro's original new-pop style interpretations have become art collectibles, attracting buyers collectors both locally and internationally.
All his artworks are entirely handmade to the highest standards by the artist himself, with locally sourced supplies from sustainable companies, and sold with registered Certificates of Authenticity.
